Tony Bowring - Honorary Board Life Member
Tony is a founding member of the Association and had 15 years of uninterrupted service to TasMen before his retirement from the board in 2010.
Tony served as Vice President 13 years, has developed and manages the email discussion list (The TasMen & TasMenElders Email Lists) since inception and has hosted a men's group at his place at Ulverstone in the North West Tas. every Monday night for 10 years!

Tony has brought valuable experience to the board with years of counselling, and skills as a former director of Lifeline in NW Tasmania, & Private Practitioner. Tony has played a major role in the development of the Association through his critical analysis of the needs of the fledgling organisation and through his capacity to focus the group on heartfelt issues. Tony has been instrumental in developing the training of men's group facilitators, to the establishment of strong protocols for the safe operation of the annual Tas Men's Gatherings. Tony bought to meetings a humour and wisdom that has served the board so well in times of need as we crawled our way through the difficult job of forming a formal organisation with a Constitution and through forming our initial vision. In 2010 the association was proud to make Tony our first Life Member, and we acknowledge and thank him for the fantastic contribution he has made and continues to make to the ongoing development of the association.
